Donate some used clothes and get 10% off a private lesson (you can earn up to 3 coupons!)
January and February are often the coldest months in Portland and when our houseless neighbors are most vulnerable. Dry, warm clothing can make a huge difference in dangerously cold weather.
For every 3 pieces of clothing* you donate, you get a 10% off coupon to use!
*a jacket or blanket=counts as 3 pieces!
What works? Clean, serviceable clothes in adult sizes. They don't have to be fancy, just useful! Blankets are also accepted.
What doesn't work? Expensive brands, heavily-worn socks, clothing with holes, sandals
Clothing will be given to those in need in Portland through direct outreach to areas with a large houseless population. Just bring your used clothing in a bag to your next lesson, and get your coupon code!

"the joy of swimming belongs to everyone."
a calm, welcoming environment at a private pool
you'll step into a warm pool-house, grab a chair on deck, and listen to some oldies playing in the background while you watch your child swim. Afterwards, there are fresh towels available for use and stickers/candy for the kids.
an LGBT & POC friendly business
People of color have historically been excluded from public swimming pools and still experience microaggressions and othering, particularly in areas that are less diverse (demographically, Portland is largely white). I am a culturally competent instructor who seeks to make all my clients feel comfortable and supported in their learning journey.
I am part of the LGBT community and my business is a safe space for LGBT children and families.
smaller class sizes for more personalized attention (3-4 swimmers per class).
In larger classes, kids can get lost in the mix and not progress. I get to know each swimmer individually and adapt my teaching strategies to help them learn. One child may learn best with firm direction and fun challenges, while another needs gentle encouragement and reassurance. I never use fear or force in the process to learn. I utilize a consent-based teaching model based on the best practices of sport psychology and child development.
affordable group lesson options (currently an average of $10 cheaper per lesson than our competitors in the Portland area!)
